Aglet is a unique mobile gaming experience that offers players a new way to engage with the game and earn rewards. By participating in a health-oriented game, players can convert their steps into an in-game currency called "Aglet" which can be used to purchase digital sneakers. With the right opportunity, players can even exchange these virtual sneakers for real-world products. Aglet not only provides a fun and engaging gaming experience, but it also opens up commercial opportunities for players from all around the world.

This mobile application was unique in that it combined traditional app features with mobile gaming. The app needed to provide a highly engaging gaming experience while also supporting simple e-commerce user flows. To "hook" users and encourage them to return to the app every day, we designed a range of interactions and sequences, dubbed "delightful moments," that integrated both experiences in a cohesive and meaningful way. This project was unlike any I had tackled in the past, and required a creative and innovative approach to design.

At Aglet, the team works with talented illustrators, artists, and creators from around the world to create engaging user interfaces and experiences that complement their unique creations. The platform provides value for both creators and users, and the company is proud to have won the highly coveted LVMH Innovation Award in 2021.

In January 2022, Aglet successfully raised $24 million in their latest round of funding, and now serves over 300,000 daily active users and 3 million total users worldwide. The team at Aglet continues to provide a fun and engaging experience that helps users improve their healthy lifestyles.
